CCS Seminar: Theology, Law, and Leadership

In this six-week seminar we will ask - how shall I lead? If wisdom is understanding how things are, how they work, and what I should do about it, and if law is about bringing order out of chaos for society, and if personal agency is about making choices and taking actions to influence this world, and if what is broken in the world also runs through me … how do I lead?

We will engage with Christopher Booker, Bill Stuntz, Alasdair MacIntyre, Gary Haugen, CS Lewis, Elad Gil, Tim Keller, JM Comer, Emily Dickinson, MLK, and more, as well as today’s headlines (The Economist). This class is focused on those expecting to take on leadership responsibility in society (business/gov't/academia/sports). There will be an expected content of 1-2 hours/week along with class attendance and participation.

This seminar is open to JD/MBA/Grad as well as undergrad students. It is limited to 12 students and requires a commitment to be present each week. It will be led by lawyer, start-up executive, and CCS Lecturer Paul Yanosy and CCS Executive Director Edward Dixon.

Location: West Campus, Brodhead Center Meeting Room 241 416 Chapel Dr, Durham, NC 27710
